Installation
Roof gulleys are installed in several stages:
- The roof gulley body is rigidly attached to the supporting roof structure;
- A hydro and vapor barrier layer made of membrane (EPDM, PVC) or polymer-bitumen materials is attached to the inlet gulley body by gluing or fusing, after which it is securely clamped using wing nuts and a profiled flange;
- The gulley is connected to the sewer pipe, regardless of its type and material;
- For the pipes made of PVC or polypropylene (REHAU, WAVIN), a socket connection is suitable;
- When using steel or cast iron no-hub pipe options for installation in storm sewers, a repair transition will be required for the installation;
- At the end of the work, the leaf trap is installed in the gulley body.
If there is a need to make several layers of hydro-, vapor barrier, drainage from two levels at once, use of gulleys on inverted "green" roofs, additional mounting elements shall be used. In particular, a drainage ring and an airtight collar will be required. Any FACHMANN gulley can be used as an extension. Such installation solves the problem of drainage from any roof, regardless of its design and the material used in the roofing "sandwich".

General - the product must be used only for its intended purpose.
The gulleys are not intended for use at the temperatures not specified in the technical documents (technical data sheet).
From time to time you need to remove the leaf trap and clean it.
Storage and transportation conditions
Roof gulleys do not belong to the class of hazardous goods, therefore, their transportation is possible by any means of transport in compliance with the general requirements for transportation by a specific vehicle.
If the products are transported by rail or truck, the rolling stock must be covered.
The products must be stored keeping the integrity of the manufacturer's packaging.
Gulleys must be protected from mechanical damage because of drops or impacts. Deformations can lead to a violation of the integrity of the product and further impossibility of its installation for high-quality performance of its functions.
